Sorting the channels on your Samsung television has never been easier. All the steps one by one to start watching your television as soon as possible

If you are here it is probably because you recently you have bought your new Samsung television and you want to put the DTT channels in order, since once tuned they all appear disordered and meaningless.

The first and foremost thing is that you take 15 minutes for yourself and your television, since although ordering the channels is not complicated Not at all, it will take you a while to leave them all as they should be.

I'm going to assume that you have already started your Samsung television, and you have reached the point where you can watch television, but the channels are placed incorrectly according to the number they should have, so let's get to it.

First, let's go with the remote control

If your Samsung television is from 2023 or shortly before, you should have a remote control similar to this one. If it is not the same, do not worry, since to organize the channels on your Samsung TV you will only need 3 buttons.

And maybe not even 3. It's actually going to be easier than that.

You are going to use the first button, which will be the « buttonProgram«, which is the one with which you go up and down the channel, but instead of using it like this you will have to press it inwards.

Secondly the cross-piece, where the directions are – left, right, up and down – and the central button, which It serves both to accept and to choose the channel you want. I leave you an image so you can locate them at a glance.

Knowing this, you are one step away from organizing the channels on your Samsung television.

How to sort the channels on a Samsung television?

Well sort the channels on a Samsung TV It's really simple. I show you step by step:

Step 1: Watching DTT

Make sure you're not on any font other than what Samsung calls "Live television«, which is where Digital Terrestrial Television is located. It will not work if we are in HDMI or in any other application.

It seems silly, but on many occasions we look for the option to order channels through the configuration menus themselves and I'm telling you that you won't find them there. Go to any DTT channel, whatever it is.

Step 2: Enter the Guide Menu

Surely it is the easiest part once you know how to access it, and I tell you, the first time I had to look at the documentation that comes on TV to learn how to access the DTT guide.

Press the button program —you have it in the image above— inward, as if it were any other button. Keep in mind that this key also works in the up (channel up) and down (channel down) directions.

Once this is done you will see a menu like the one I show you below:

As you will see, on the left and above the channel will continue playing and on the rest of the screen you will be able to see how the list of channels appears with the time and all the programming they are broadcasting as well as what they will broadcast in the next few minutes.

Step 3: “Edit Channels” Menu

Once you reach this menu, if you move to the left with the crosshair, you will see that there is a submenu called «Channel filter» and that at the bottom a button appears that reads «Edit channels«.

Stand on top and press OK —remember that it is the central button of the crosshead—.

Step 4: Change channel number

Once you are in the menu «Edit channels» You will enter a screen that must be exactly this one and if not very similar. All the channels you have tuned will appear on this screen. with a number next to it.

As you will see, the layout after starting the configuration may vary and probably, although each of us orders the channels differently, They do not have a distribution that invites us to leave it like this, so we are going to organize the TV channels.

The first of all is place ourselves in the chain that we want to change places. Notice that an empty square will appear just to the left of each one. If you press the button «OKAY" on the controller, you will see that a green check appears ✅ indicating that it is selected.

Once you select it, move to the right with the crosshair until you are over the « buttonChange number«, above the buttons «Delete" and "Block» to the right of your Samsung TV.

Once you click on it, the only thing you have to do is, with the cross-piece, go up or down until you reach the number where you want to place your channel and when you have reached the number you want, press OK again to set it there.

Repeat the process with all the channels you want to change being:

  1. Select the channel to change location.
  2. Go up and down until you leave it where you want.
  3. Press OK again to set it.

Step 5: Save the channel order and exit

Since you've spent the last few minutes of your time moving through the channels and putting them in place, DON'T HIT THE BUTTON BACK! —believe me… It has happened to me—that Otherwise you will cancel everything you have done until now.

As I show you in the image, at the bottom right the selectable «Save and exit«. What this will do is save the channel configuration in the order you have chosen. If you don't give it, nothing you've done will have helped.

And that's how simple it is sort the channels on a Samsung television. If you have any other related questions, you can write to me through the social media buttons and I will be happy to help you.
