After 6 days of the previous update, Rabbit releases its fifth OTA update for the Rabbit r1, with some significant improvements
This is the path they must follow from Rabbit, and it is to try to maintain the pace as much as possible. Seeing that The first reviews were not highly positive and that there is a kind of witch hunt on the part of the media, they have no other choice.
And just like I told you in this post about the leaked videos, the UI—or user interface—had changed significantly to add improvements such as on-screen text and images that accompany the answers.
just a few hours ago they uploaded a tweet confirming that the Update It would begin to reach Rabbit r1 users from that moment on, and they gave some notions of what this new OTA would bring.
What new features does the fifth Rabbit r1 Update bring?
We are going to review the improvements that have been added in this new update. I leave you some notes in parentheses and italics regarding them.
Device r1 / Rabbit OS:
- Voice search now shows images relevant when useful. (We already saw them in the videos they uploaded this week)
- Now you can specifically search for images. (I was surprised that it seems to not increase the delay at all. It goes very fast)
- r1 now has "list view" and long text view with a dedicated user interface.
- The user interface of vision mode has been redesigned, with a photo taken of the painting being analyzed. (More than necessary. Now we know exactly the image that r1 is analyzing)
- Now you can take photos with the Rabbit r1 with a single click of the PTT button. (As long as it has the low quality it has, it seems curious but unnecessary to me.)
- Future OTA updates will now have a clearer user interface when updates are in progress.
Improvements added thanks to the support of the Rabbit community
- Improved WiFi interface. (I failed a lot)
- WiFi connection with WEP encryption enabled.
- More robust connection with intermittent hotspot/router service. (Just as critical. It was a point that I hope they have fixed. definitely)
- Fixed rendering of alphabets in other languages.
- Improved Bluetooth connection. (It was also essential)
Prompts for Rabbit r1
It has caught my attention that for the first time it seems that since Rabbit They give us "instructions" on how to make requests to R1, and it is curious because from the beginning I think that if there are "prompt engineering" courses, perhaps it was a good idea to give us some guidelines.
These are the tests they invite us to do:
The last point is what I was referring to with the prompts. Different commands will activate different AI models. And this is what we should understand. On many occasions we will get the best answer from a good question.
