In the world of AI, which surprises us with new advances every day, two devices have been generating excitement in recent months: the Rabbit R1 and the Humane AI Pin.

These AI assistant devices They are ready to be shipped soon, and its creators have made some impressive claims about its capabilities. However, until they arrive, there are those who have reason to be skeptical about whether these devices will live up to expectations.

What do these devices claim to do?

According to their marketing, the Rabbit R1 and the Humane AI Pin aim to simplify various tasks using voice commands and AI assistance. Some examples include:

  • Book a family trip complete to Europe with just two or three voice commands.
  • Calculate calories or the protein content in a handful of almonds simply by showing the food to the device.
  • Replace your smartphone for many tasks, without the need to launch applications
  • In the case of the Rabbit R1, as we have seen previously, assist with repairs, live translations and more.

Artificial Intelligence Wearable Devices

As technology continues to advance, These AI devices are poised to revolutionize the way we interact with our environment and we manage our daily lives.

These devices, equipped with artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, have the potential to integrate seamlessly into our routines and provide us with personalized assistance, insights and support.

In the future, AI devices can you help us in numerous ways:

  • Health & Wellness: AI gadgets could continuously monitor our vital signs, activity levels and sleep patterns, providing real-time feedback and recommendations to improve our overall well-being. They could alert us to potential health problems and even contact healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Productivity and Time Management: With the ability to learn our habits and preferences, AI devices could optimize our schedules, remind us of important tasks, and help us prioritize our responsibilities. They could even automate certain tasks, freeing up more time for us to focus on what matters most.
  • Communication and Translation: AI devices could break down language barriers by offering real-time translations during conversations or while traveling abroad. They could also improve our communication skills by providing feedback on our tone, body language, and social cues.
  • Navigation and Security: By leveraging GPS and other location-based technologies, AI devices could provide us with turn-by-turn navigation, helping us find our way in unfamiliar places. They could also alert us to potential safety hazards or emergency situations, such as accidents or natural disasters.
  • Personalized Learning and Skills Development: AI devices could adapt to our individual learning styles and provide personalized educational content, making it easier for us to acquire new knowledge and skills. They could even train us in complex tasks or guide us in developing new habits.

Which AI device to choose?

I am going to review some points of both to see the key points on which to base ourselves to be clear about which one to choose, taking into account that neither of them is yet available to the general public.

Price

Let's start with the most basic:

  • The price of the Rabbit R1 is 199$which in exchange is about €186— plus shipping and customs if applicable, which would make a total of just under €230 delivered to your home in Spain.
  • For its part, the price of the Humane AI Pin is 699$ in its normal version and 799$ if we choose the polished versions. To this we must add shipping and customs, the same as in the previous case.

Subscription

Many of the Artificial Intelligences that we use daily require a subscription, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity or Midjourney. They are normally around €20 each..

  • On the Humane AI Pin side, it has an associated 24$ subscription to mes without taxes, which will cause the price to increase.
  • The Rabbit R1, as Jesse Lyu already said, You don't have any subscription. In fact, they have even given away a Perplexity membership worth 200$ completely free to the first 100,000 units.

Design

  • Regarding the design, the AI Pin is much smaller. Just 3 centimeters per side, which allows it to be hung on the shirt using a magnet and used as its name suggests, like a pin.

Hardware

In terms of hardware, on the contrary. In mobile phones we are not going to have great specifications, due among other things to the fact that they plan to operate these AI devices over the internet.

  • The Rabbit R1 It has a 2.88″ touch screen, an AI-based camera—to see and interpret the world—and a pair of buttons to accept and navigate through menus.
  • The Humane AI Pin It does not have a screen, since it will use a projectr that we will use to see what it wants to show us. Yes, it also has a small camera.

Response speed

At the moment we are seeing that the speed is higher on the Rabbit R1 than on the AI pi. I leave you a sample:

Which AI device will I choose?

If you have visited my website I imagine that you have already got an idea, but For my part, I am clear that the best device today is clearly the Rabbit R1.
