The Rabbit r1 reaches almost all of Europe and improves shipping time

The company behind the Rabbit r1 boasts about the sales of its device in Europe

It's not exactly a secret that The main sales market for the Rabbit R1 always —at least until the time of writing these lines— has been the United States of AmericaI guess because of proximity and convenience.

It is also understandable, considering that overcoming American regulations and logistics problems is not the same as those that may arise In Europe where each country has its own rules to allow the sale of devices like this.

But according to what we are told by Rabbit Inc. itself, the European market has been quite active in the purchase of the orange gadgetSo much so that a third of all sales have been in the "Old Continent."

Adding European countries to buy the Rabbit r1

No less than 18 new European countries have been added to the list of available countries. It should be remembered that at launch the countries that were reached There were only a dozen, including Spain., United Kingdom or Italy among others.

At the moment There are now 32 countries around the world where the Rabbit R1 can be purchased, Europe being the continent with the most countries available, since in Asia only Japan and South Korea are among those chosen to be able to get an R1.

The problem of languages

And this is one of the main problems that the Rabbit R1 has in Europe. This is not the USA. In the 28 European countries where the device can be purchased, at least 26 different languages are spoken. and only one of them—UK—has English as its primary language.

And this creates friction. I've been using the R1 for months now, and I don't feel comfortable. While I can have a more or less fluent conversation in English with another human, with the Rabbit r1 it becomes quite an odyssey.

I have a marked accent, He doesn't understand me, he misinterprets me and he doesn't perform the actions I ask him to.I understand that it is my fault. I am not going to put all the responsibility on the gadget, but I must admit that I do not find it comfortable to use.

Now imagine yourself in Italian, Czech, Bulgarian, German, Slovak, French, Danish, Croatian…And so on, an endless list of people who do not have English as their mother tongue and who want to have a good relationship with their Rabbit.

We can speak to ChatGPT or Perplexity in Spanish —or any other language— and it understands. It has a translation mode with dozens of languages that it can not only write but also speak. Why don't they integrate it into the operating system?

I really think it's a step backwards that at this point R1 is limited and unable to understand other languages. It doesn't make any sense at all… I hope it arrives soon, because there is no point in people buying it if they don’t make it easy to use.

Faster shipping in just 3 days

This is another of the strong points of the announcement, and it is that as they tell us so much in the Discord channels like in X They have mentioned that they are able to ship the Rabbit R1 to Europe and the rest of the world within 3 days.

Taking into account the number of months we were waiting for them to be manufactured, sent to the central warehouses and finally arrive in Spain, the be able to do it in 72 hours I think it is a spectacular advance in terms of logistics.

We'll see if they manage to increase their sales in Europe and develop the use of more languages other than English. That way, yes...
