Weekly news: New videos and signings for the R1

The incorporation of new members to the team tells us that they have a grand launch planned

Just a few hours ago we read the following message on X:

Suddenly, and without having announced it—or at least it happened to me— Simon Balmain, Community Manager or developer has become part of the Rabbit Inc team for the launch of its long-awaited Rabbit R1.

This young man specialized in social networks has worked both for Twitter through Sphere in the field of controlling specific groups and for Monzo, a kind of online banking, to the BBC, where he worked as CM.

With this new project, Balmain is much more active on Discord, asking the already more than 6000 community users for ideas, points of view and projects to do together. We'll see how his work develops. Welcome.

Jesse Lyu's dog Kiwi passes through R1

I have to admit that I laughed seeing the poor animal passing through the R1 filter, and Lyu continue doing vision tests and this time it was the turn of his Shiba Inu named Kiwi to be the protagonist of the video.

In the first one, you ask your gadget to tell you what it sees while you have your pet in front of you. As you will see, not one fails:

And he not only recognizes his dog but also gives details about the attitude that the animal has, is able to identify where the light is coming from and finally what type of floor you are sitting on. Quite a feat for a device that is unfinished.

In the last video, a sign is shown prohibiting dogs in a certain area. The R1 not only warns about what it sees but also recommends the owner not to take their dog through that area. I don't know about you, but I find the potential completely incredible...

For now we will have to continue waiting with these little pills until our gadget arrives in 6 months!!! But hey, the wait will be worth it, I'm sure...
