In the latest update to the Rabbit r1 they incorporated alarms and timers, but how can they make them even better?

On the verge of a new update, the Rabbit r1 community has agreed to try to request improvements so that the timers work better. And It's a great idea seeing the current result.

Alarms and timers were a demand from the early adopters from the first moment and even more so since the device reached the hands of the general public. It was a priority issue and it has been done, but it seems to have been left half-done.

In the last update We saw its inclusion in the system and it really gave a twist to the concept of "timer", since for example you could tell it "set a timer to boil an egg" and the r1 understood the exact time it should have to fulfill its function.

The community begins to ask

It was on the official Rabbit r1 forum where they have compiled a list of improvements that could be implemented to the timers and alarms. Here is a list of the most requested improvements to continue improving this feature:

About timers

  • Allow the user dictate what the timer is for and then show him the name.
  • Allow more than one timer both.
  • If the timer turns off while recording is in progress, cancel the recording.
  • Sounds of countdown for the last 10 seconds from the timer.

Improvements in alarms

  • Allow the user dictate what the alarm is for and then display the name to the user.
  • Shows the date in which the alarm is supposed to sound.
    • Currently, if you set a reminder for a specific date, it starts an alarm at 12:00 and you can't see the date it's supposed to go off on.
  • Allow the alarm to ring infinitely.
    • According to my tests, The timers stop ringing after 10 minutes. Ideally, they would ring forever until the user silences them.
  • Allow a gentle awakening (gradually increase the timer sound until it reaches the maximum, over the course of approximately 60 seconds).
  • Allow the user Complete a mental exercise to confirm the state of total wakefulness (simple math problem, etc. inspired by applications Alarmyand Sleep as Androidprograms)

Others related to time

  • Allow user Select the volume of the timer/alarm regardless of system volume.
  • Allow it to set timers/alarms from viewing mode.

New Feature Requests

  • New type of countdown called Reminders (already in the plans as “active reminders”) that you can configure in advance and will remind you of what you want, when you ask for it.
    • Location-based reminders. Once you reach a destination, it reminds you.
  • New "chronometer” which allows you to quickly start a stopwatch.
  • New Automatic anniversary reminder or something similar, which can automatically remind you of a special day and why it was special
  • Allow that the timer/alarm is dismissed/cancelled via the touch screen.
    • You may need to long press to dismiss or snooze the feature. Instantly tapping to dismiss the feature would be a bad user experience in my opinion.
  • Add the pomodoro technique.
  • Adds a small badge to the home screen to indicate that there is a timer or a pending alarm. This can also be done for music, etc.

These are some of the most requested features by users. Do you think they will be implemented?
