If you are here it is probably because you recently you have bought your new LG television and you want to put the DTT channels in order, since once tuned they all appear out of order and make no sense.

The first and foremost thing is that you take 15-20 minutes for yourself and your television, since although ordering the channels is not complicated Not at all, it will take you a while to leave them all as they should be.

I'm going to assume that you have already started your LG television, and you have reached the point where you can watch television, but the channels are placed incorrectly according to the number they should have, so let's get to it.

First, let's go with the remote control

If your LG television is from 2023 or shortly before, you should have a remote control similar to this one. If it is not the same, do not worry, since to organize the channels on your LG TV you will only need 3 buttons.

And maybe not even 3. It's actually going to be easier than that.

You are going to use the first button, which will be the « buttonokay«, which is the one in the middle of the crosshead and which is activated by pressing towards. It will be the button that works to confirm each step we are going to take when it comes to ordering the channels on our LG television.

Secondly the cross-piece, where the addresses are —ileft, right, up and down— and the Settings button —the cogwheel—, which It is used to enter the configuration. I leave you an image so you can locate them at a glance.

Knowing this, you are one step away from ordering the channels on your LG television.

How to sort the channels on an LG television?

Well sort the channels on an LG TV It's really simple. I show you step by step:

Step 1: Enter the « menuSetting«

You can be anywhere on your television, but I advise you to go to the DTT source of your LG television, «Live television«, which is where Digital Terrestrial Television is located. It will work the same, but better this way.

Press the gear button, the “Settings” button, to open the options drop-down menu on the left. Once this is done you will see four icons, one of them a wrench which is the general adjustments which are the ones that interest us.

Step 2: Enter the Menu «Guide»Channels»

Since we are located in the menu «Channels» Press OK with the central button on the crosshead and enter the channel configuration menu. our LG television.

Press the button Channel Manager —you have it in the image below— by pressing OK inward, as if it were any other button. This way we will get directly to the menu to move the channels around.

Once this is done you will see a menu like the one I show you below:

As you will see, we will get the option of «Edit all channels«, with which we can edit the list of channels by blocking, omitting and what interests us, ordering the different channels of the LG television, which is what we have come for.

Step 3: “Channel Manager” Menu

Once you have reached this menu, if you move to the right with the crosshair, You will see that there is a list of channels —normally disordered at first— each one with a circle to its right that will serve to mark that we have chosen the channel to change.

As you will see on the right and below there are 4 different options:

  • – Red color: Lock unlock
  • – Green color: Skip/Restore
  • – Yellow Color: Move
  • – Blue Color: Edit channel numbers

To us the one who We are interested in the yellow “MOVE”, since what we want is to move the channels to the position we want.

Position yourself above the channel you want to move and press OK —remember that it is the central button on the D-pad— I recommend that you order them in the order you want one by one, since they will displace the rest of the channels as you place them in their new location.

Start from 1 onwards.

Once you choose the channel you want to move and press OK, you must press the yellow button, and You will see how two arrows appear on the chosen channel indicating that with the crosshead you can go up and down the channel to the point you want.

Step 4: Change channel number

Once you are at this point, all you have to do is raise or lower the selected channel to the place you want and press the central OK button on the crosshead again to end. In my case, for the example, I have placed the Sixth at number 1.

Step 5: Do I have to save the order of the channels?

Unlike Samsung televisions, on LG televisions you don't have to save any settings after sorting the channels, so you can safely exit the menu without having to take care of anything else.

And that's how simple it is sort the channels on an LG television. If you have any other related questions, you can write to me through the social media buttons and I will be happy to help you.

  1. Good afternoon, on my smart TV, the yellow or blue button does not appear, only the lock and skip buttons appear, is this normal?

  2. Good afternoon,
My LG is 27TQ615S-PZ.AEU/FHD and only lock and skip appear. The coloured buttons on the remote do not give up and down arrows. I cannot sort the channels.
